Third Meeting in Bilbao, Spain 5th – 6th October 2017
The third meeting of Work for Adults was held at the Vocational Training School Tartanga in Bilbao on the 5th – 6th of October.
After a short visit of Tartanga College Mika opened the meeting. A relevant issue of this meeting was the proposal of the UK partners for the website and the communication platform Blackboard, and their features that the partners are going to use from now on. The National Blogs will be linked to the website and show two success stories or best practices of each country.
Each partner did a short presentation of their own blogs and continued presenting the best practices in using digital tools in work based learning. For example, Ikaslan is working on LinkedIn as it is not used by vocational training students, testing the tool with a few students at the moment. The use of LinkedIn can help our students in the transition from the Vocational Training School to the work place and therefore, facilitate local companies seeking candidates when they are on the need to hire staff. It will also develop a tighter cooperation between VET Schools and working life.
SA Tartu Rahvaülikool from Estonia presented the curriculum of the course Digital Resources in Preschool Teachers’ Work and for Adults Educators. The aim is to introduce how to use ICT (information and communication technology) tools in the preschool teacher’s work. Omnia from Finland showed their project: Blogging with Students and Sharing blog for colleagues.
The second day after arrival and coffee Britta presented the seminar she attended in Berlin about WBL. The project team talked about the administrational issues, quality issues and completed the evaluation of the meeting. The meeting concluded with each partner being allocated tasks to be completed for the next meeting in UK at Bridgwater and Taunton College on the 21st and 22nd March 2017.
